Ross McGregor

Ross McGregor has more than 25 years of experience working with institutions, governments, and the not-for-profit sector. A long-time resident of Toronto, he is currently the Special Advisor to the President (Strategic Initiatives) at the University of Waterloo and is a Director of Waterfront Toronto and the Tides Canada Foundation.
Mr. McGregor served as President and CEO of the Toronto Region Research Alliance (TRRA) from 2005 to 2007 where he implemented a wide variety of unique capacity-building and economic development initiatives for the benefit of the broader Toronto Region.
Mr. McGregor served as President and then Chairman and CEO of Ketchum Canada Inc. from 1985 to 2002 where he built the firm into one of the largest and most respected capital fundraising consultancies in the not-for-profit world.
A litigation lawyer who practiced in Ottawa and Toronto for ten years at the beginning of his career, Mr. McGregor holds a BA (Hons) degree from Queen's University and an LLB degree from the University of Western Ontario. He lives with his wife Julie White in Cabbagetown and has two daughters also residing in Toronto, Megan and Kilby.
