Contributor Biography
Andrew was born in Teulon, Manitoba, but grew up in Ottawa, Ontario. He went to McGill University and studied philosophy, then did an MA and PhD in philosophy at the University of Toronto. He taught for three years at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario, then did postdoctoral work at CREUM, the centre for research in ethics at the University of Montreal.
He is currently a public affairs columnist with Maclean's magazine, Canada's premier newsweekly, and a features editor with Canadian Business magazine. Until recently he was the national editor with the Ottawa Citizen. In addition to The Authenticity Hoax, he wrote a lengthy introduction to the 40th anniversary edition of Lament for a Nation, by George Grant. He also coauthored the international bestseller The Rebel Sell (called Nation of Rebels in the United States) with Joseph Heath.
